The Buzz

Bowflex C6 Bike Console With Tablet Holder and Premium Grips

UPDATE: In early 2022 Bowflex introduced an all new C7 Bike, an upgrade to the C6 with a 7" HD touch screen display with streaming capability.

-----------------------

Everybody is talking about the new Bowflex C6 as it is the very first bike the company has ever released.  They produce some of the most popular cardio equipment in the world, including the Max Trainer elliptical and the TreadClimber treadmill hybrid machine.

So it makes sense that they are trying their luck in the residential exercise bike market, as that has seen a real surge over the last few years.  Companies like Peloton are bringing the in-studio experience to the home, so riders can exercise on their own time but still take advantage of live streaming classes.

Exciting Apps and Enhanced Capability

What makes the C6 exercise bike unique is the ability to connect to a number of fitness apps, something that you don't typically find on an indoor cycling bike.

As of this review you can connect via Bluetooth to the Peloton app, Zwift app and Explore the World app, offering you all sorts of capability and immersive riding experiences.

The Peloton app offers you a huge library of live and on demand classes with trainers all over the world.  Zwift is a cycling training and competition app that pits you against other riders.

And Explore the World is exactly as it sounds...you can choose locations across the globe and it's as if you are there pedaling away, and the bike automatically adjusts your speed which is very cool.

So the Bowflex C6 gives you have everything you need to get the most out of your workouts, and enjoy yourself at the same time.

Other Great Features

Beyond the fitness apps you get 100 levels of micro-adjustable magnetic resistance.  All you need to do is turn the convenient knob one way or the other to make changes on the fly.  No need to stop your workout to vary the resistance levels.

You have dual link pedals with toe cages to replicate an outdoor ride, and the seat can be adjusted fore and aft to find the perfect fit for you.

The console on the C6 is simple yet informative, giving you all of the workout data you need.  There are premium grips for comfort, a shelf for your tablet and two water bottle holders.  You also get an armband so you can monitor your heart rate the entire time to ensure that you are in the ideal zone.

Currently the Bowflex C6 comes with a pair of 3 lb. dumbbells, which is great if you like to get an arm workout in while you pedal.  That way you're truly getting a full body workout every time you ride.

The C6 comes with a generous 10 year warranty, which is better than most of the competition offers.  You get 3 years on mechanical and electrical and one year labor.

All in all we were very impressed by the Bowflex C6 during our review. It's got a lot of great features at a very competitive price.

UPDATE: It looks like Bowflex is introducing another new bike, called the VeloCore.  It comes with two touch screen options and multiple riding styles. Check out our expert's review!

Bowflex C6 Bike - Bottom Line

If you're looking for an affordable indoor cycling bike the new Bowflex C6 is definitely worth considering.

With the ability to integrate 3 different apps, you can tap into unlimited workouts, train and compete with other riders and virtually bike anywhere in the world.

You can also adjust your resistance on the fly up to 100 different levels, more than you'll find on most indoor cycling bikes.  The ride is smooth and comfortable and you adjust the riding seat to your desired position.

You also get free dumbbells included with purchase, which is a nice bonus.

Check out the C6 today and see if it's the right indoor bike for you.  Bowflex often offers free shipping and free mat as well as special deals throughout the year!
