The Epic A17R exercise bike is a recumbent bike with an easy-mount step-through frame design. It sports a 17-lb inertia-enhanced flywheel, an oversized EnergyReturn cushioned chair back seat with lumbar support, an easy glide seat adjustment, extra-wide pedals with adjustable straps, and Quick-touch digital resistance controls.

The console has a built-in wireless connection so you can access the internet to download iFit workouts right to your display.

With iFit, you can also access the Powered by Google Maps feature to ride virtual trails and streets around the world. Or you can simply select one of the 30 pre-set workouts and plug-in your iPod or MP3 player and listen to your playlist through the 2" speakers on the console.

Even more features include front transport wheels, a cooling fan, water bottle holder, and pulse grip sensors on the handlebars and a wireless chest strap (included) for measuring your heart rate during workouts.

Our Take

The attractive Epic A17R offers an exceptionally quiet ride and the right combination of features to keep you pedaling for hours toward your fitness goals.

The limited one-year parts warranty is the only con for a bike costing $799 at Dick’s Sporting Goods as some other brands that sell for less are offering a 2-year warranty.

But that’s a small issue for the quality you get in this winner. The Epic A17R exercise bike rates a Good Buy.
