The Buzz

UPDATE: In 2018 this model was replaced by the all new Life Fitness Club Series Plus Upright, a completely redesigned exercise bike with a 7" touch screen display, modern/sleek look and Bluetooth workout tracking capability.

There is a brand new recumbent series as well, and the company announced they would be phasing out all of the base Club cardio machines in favor of the new Club + models.

These new bikes are sure to be a hit for Life Fitness, as they incorporated all of the desirable features that previous models did not have.

The Life Fitness Club Series upright exercise bike features a welded steel frame, a Poly V belt drive, and a self-contained alternator system offering 20 smooth, quick-changing resistance levels.

It has an adjustable ComfortCurve™ Plus seat and ergonomic handlebars with deluxe forearm support – the same design that Life Fitness puts in its commercial LifeCycle units.

Other features include a digital contact heart rate monitoring system, a wireless chest strap, built-in reading rack, accessory tray, and self-generating power for the display.

The reviews are excellent on this model as expected. We have also noticed that bigger guys who can easily break lesser quality bikes are reporting that this unit holds up very well under great stress.

Since the LifeCycle has been around for decades, you can be sure of its reliability and durability. It is covered by a 3-year parts and one-year labor warranty.

Our Take on the Club Series Bike

The Club Series LifeCycle is a bike for serious workouts. If your workouts consist of doing an hour a day with a low to moderate setting, this is probably a lot more bike than you need.

But if you work up a sweat and like to dial up the resistance to the max, this home version of the club model will perform like a dream. Its smooth ride is above and beyond any other upright bike you have ever tried.

While it is expensive, with an MSRP of $2,699, the Life Fitness Club Series upright exercise bike is an exceptional cardio fitness machine and rates a Best Buy.
